The Estate has a diverse range of business interests including commercial units, residential properties, holiday cottages, arable and livestock farming, forestry, renewable energy generation, food production and hospitality.

The Estate has many Listed Buildings and features, a mix of tenants and is visited by hundreds of thousands of people each year. Recent years have seen landscape and heritage restoration and regeneration projects which are restoring damaged and degraded historic structures, ecosystems and natural processes, creating new habitats, encouraging greater biodiversity and enhancing natural capital functions. We are constantly working to protect our past while staying relevant for the future.

The grounds team ensures the grounds and gardens are maintained to a high standard across the Estate including holiday cottages, entrance routes, commercial office units, car parks, private gardens and the Emmerdale film set.
