UKAEA leads the way in realizing fusion energy, partnering with industry and research organisations to achieve ground breaking advancements. Our goal is to bring fusion electricity to the grid by developing the power stations of tomorrow and the skilled workforce to deliver them.

- Contribute to periodic examination and testing of engineering and safety features, as well as systems of work controlling exposure.
- Provide advice on IRR17 requirements, including risk assessments, area designation, investigations, contingency plans, and dose assessment/recording.
- Ensure all advice is provided in consultation with the RPA and formally recorded for audit.
- Provide guidance on safety issues associated with working with beryllium.
- Support health physics practitioners to ensure advice aligns with IRR17, COSHH and EA permit requirements.

As part of the 20% dedicated to training and development, you will complete a core suite of activities aimed at enhancing your professional and business skills, with flexibility to tailor the programme to both your personal development and the needs of your specific role.
