Are you passionate about cars and take pride in a flawless finish? We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Vehicle Painter Apprentice to join our skilled refinishing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working toward a recognised qualification in automotive refinishing.

As a Vehicle Painter Apprentice, you'll learn how to prepare vehicles for painting, apply primers and topcoats, and restore vehicles to a showroom finish. You'll work with state-of-the-art equipment and gain real-world experience in a professional workshop.

Hours: 8.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday with 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid), i.e. 42.5 hours per

Salary: £7.80 per hour

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing vehicle surfaces (sanding, masking, priming).
  • Mixing and applying paints and coatings.
  • Using spray guns and refinishing tools.
  • Colour matching and blending techniques.
  • Polishing and finishing processes.
  • Health & safety and environmental standards in paint shops.

Ideally, we are looking for:

  • A genuine interest in automotive refinishing.
  • Attention to detail and a steady hand.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
  • Punctual, reliable, and motivated.
  • Maths & English Grades 4-9 or equivalent (A-C) is essential.
  • A full UK driving licence is a bonus, but not essential.
