Commwire is a Telecommunications company providing cabling and network services to a variety of clients. We work as a sub contractor for large national retail clients as well as providing local telephone and IT services commercial premises where we provide Wifi and cabling for their business. We have a team of 15 field engineers and 6 Admin/management staff. We are looking for a new trainee to work alongside our lead engineers. You will learn a variety of skills in field environment including all aspects of structured data cabling and fibre networks. There will be software and hardware upgrade projects on various platforms from telephony, PCs, routers and EPOS tills. These are works are throughout Scotland and Northern England and Northern Ireland and can be in construction environments and commercial premises. There is 'out of hours' work so nightshift is required on these projects. Full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will ideal have some computing/IT experience or qualifications and have good communication skills - both email and verbal. The trainee will need to be organised and have good attention to detail. Due to the varied locations of work, a full driving licence is required.
