Architectural Technician/Technologist for Leading Commercial Developer

About the Role

With design at the forefront of their practice and a strong clientele within the commercial sector, our client is looking to take on an experienced Architectural Technician/Technologist. Based next to an easily accessible central station, this studio offers a friendly and inclusive work environment that promotes a healthy work life balance across all departments. With anticipated projects being developed through the RIBA Work Stages 1 - 7, this studio will most definitely welcome challenges across the board. This is the perfect chance for someone looking to lead on projects within a team of experienced architects and technologists, whilst developing long term working relationships with clients. Assisting with the project lead within day to day delivery of commissions, responsibilities will include general office support such as filing, receiving and welcoming guests and general telephone duties. All technicians/technologists are predicted to move up into a Senior position within the next few years, making it a great opening for those looking to elevate.

Key Responsibilities

At a glance.

Provide technical support to senior team members in the preparation of project programmes.Assist project architects in minute taking, and technical research, issuing and receiving drawings and other project information.Provide input across different stages of the design process, from feasibility layouts to planning applications.Assist in preparing comprehensive planning application packs, including drawings, 3D visualisations, and graphic outputs.Work alongside project leaders to ensure accuracy and completeness of planning documentation.

Liaise with clients and 3rd party consultants.

Amend filing.

Receiving and welcoming guests and general telephone duties.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Minimum 3 years of technical experience required.

Enthusiasm for residential design and urban planning.

Prior experience with residential or mixed-use projects preferred.

Possession of a HND or similar degree in architectural design.

Competency with AutoCAD/REVIT software.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Sketch-Up.

Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.

Meticulous attention to detail and adeptness at multitasking.
