About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and competent Swimming Pool Engineer/Builder to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong practical skills in groundworks, masonry, and finishing, alongside a good understanding of pool plumbing, waterproofing, and finishing techniques.
You'll work on-site as part of a small, skilled team — from groundwork and shell construction to finishing and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Construction of swimming pool shells (blockwork, brickwork, concrete, etc.)
Installation of pool pipework, filtration, and circulation systems
Application of waterproof tanking systems and pool finishes
Tiling, screeding, rendering, and general finishing work
Decking, slabbing, and other landscaping works around pools
Operation of machinery (e.g., mini diggers, mixers, power tools)
Reading and working from technical drawings and specifications
Ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship on site
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience in general construction or swimming pool building
Competent in the following areas:
Blockwork & Brickwork
Rendering & Screeding
Tiling
Waterproof Tanking
Pipework installation
Decking, Slabbing, and Footings
Digger operation and groundwork
Ability to work independently and as part of a small site team
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Strong understanding of site safety and construction best practices
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience in pool commissioning or maintenance
Basic electrical or plumbing qualifications
Experience with pool filtration and control systems
