Role Overview

This position is designed for an SEO Executive who will manage their own portfolio of client accounts while working under the strategic and performance oversight of the SEO Lead. You will be responsible for delivering SEO work across your accounts, implementing recommendations, and reporting on performance. While you will have autonomy in execution, final accountability and strategic alignment will sit with the SEO Lead, who you will report to.

Purpose of the Role

As SEO Executive, your role focuses on hands-on delivery of SEO activity that drives organic performance for your clients. You will implement technical fixes, content updates, keyword optimisation, and monitor results. You will act as a key support function within the SEO team, ensuring your work aligns with the lead's strategic direction and meets internal standards. You will also work collaboratively across departments to support broader channel goals.

Key Responsibilities


Campaign Delivery & Implementation

  • Manage your own portfolio of client accounts with accountability to the SEO Lead
  • Execute SEO work across technical, content, and on-site optimisation based on lead strategy and client goals
  • Conduct keyword research and produce recommendations for optimisation
  • Support with technical audits and action follow ups, working alongside the SEO Lead if needed.
  • Monitor campaign performance and flag risks, growth opportunities, and insights.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Produce accurate and timely SEO performance reports for your accounts
  • Track KPIs including rankings, organic traffic, conversions, and engagement
  • Provide commentary on performance, learnings, and suggested next steps for review by the SEO Lead
  • Ability to review and analyse reporting tools, dashboards, and data accuracy
  • Keep project management up to date with daily tasks

Client Support

  • Handle campaign related queries and share performance updates under the guidance of the SEO Lead
  • Support client communication by delivering reports and insights clearly and confidently
  • Escalate strategic questions and budget/campaign direction discussions to the SEO Lead where necessary

Team Collaboration & Best Practice

  • Work closely with the SEO Lead to align campaign execution with strategic goals
  • Follow established internal SEO processes and best practices
  • Support cross-channel initiatives alongside other department executives
  • Contribute new ideas, tactics, and findings to team documentation and knowledge sharing
  • Help test tools or workflows recommended by the SEO Lead

Skills & Experience

Required

  • Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals including technical, content, and on-site optimisation
  • 1-3 years experience in an SEO based role.
  • Experience creating SEO reports and analysing key organic performance metrics
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts with strong organisation and task prioritisation
  • Strong communication skills and confident with client conversations where necessary
  • Comfortable implementing website optimisations and supporting technical SEO actioning
  • Experience working on Wordpress websites.
  • Experience with Google Search Console, GA4, SEO tools (e.g. Ahrefs, SEMRush, Screaming Frog etc.)
  • Understanding of HTML for SEO execution (meta tags, headings, links, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail in copy, URLs, and site structures
  • Interest in Google algorithm updates and SEO best practices
  • Comfortable working within a collaborative team and company environment as well as being able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Ideal (but not essential)

  • Experience working on Shopify/ Wix Websites
  • Experience using (training can also be provided)
  • Technical SEO experience
  • Experience with website migration for SEO
  • Experience creating and implementing SEO strategies on a 3-6 month basis
