Overview:

Join our Cloud & Hosting team and kick-start your career in IT You'll work alongside experienced Cloud Engineers, gaining hands-on experience in managing and supporting virtualised server environments and Cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provisioning and maintaining virtual resources using VMware and other hosting technologies.
• Supporting Microsoft Azure administration and resource management.
• Resolving hosting-related support incidents and service requests.
• Monitoring system performance, capacity, and alerts across Cloud and on-prem environments.
• Assisting with operating system patching and updates.
• Contributing to planned upgrade and refresh programmes for hosting platforms.
• Maintaining documentation and following operational procedures.

You'll also complete structured training leading to a Level 4 DevOps Engineer qualification.

Required skills:

• Demonstrable IT skills gained through a formal role, education, or hobby.
• Experience working in a team to deliver high-quality services.
• Experience providing advice and guidance to customers and colleagues.
• Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills and ability to build effective relationships.
• Strong digital competence (Microsoft 365, email, internet).
• Ability to solve problems independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of health and safety issues.
• Ability to participate in networks to share good practice and exchange information.
• Enthusiastic and motivated learner.
• Team player with flexibility and adaptability.
• Calm under pressure with attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Organised and self-disciplined.

Entry requirements:

• A Level in STEM subject, or
• BTEC Diploma in STEM subject, or
• Level 3 IT apprenticeship

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
