Bury St Edmunds IP, United Kingdom Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust Full time £40,000 - £60,000 per year

ADHD Needs You

Are you someone with an interest in ADHD or an existing NMP looking for a bit of a change ?

Come and work with the Suffolk Adult ADHD team as a non-medical prescriber with a focus on assessment and treatment of adults with ADHD. There are options for flexible / hybrid working and the opportunity to help shape ADHD provision for Suffolk moving forwards. We look forward to hearing from you

Our primary goal is to be able to walk alongside people during their ADHD journey to provide a kind, safe and effective level of support along the way. Although this role is ideally for an established NMP with prior experience of ADHD, we would be open to the right person looking to expand their scope of practice or potentially as a development opportunity at band 6 for someone looking to complete their NMP training.

The main aspects will be completing review appointments with people either newly starting ADHD medication or those needing a review due to change of circumstance. This will also involve initial prescribing for for new medication(s) and dose adjustments during the titration period as well as for those transferring into the service / previously stable on medication. Once established and training completed, where required, we would expect the successful applicant to be completing some ADHD assessments / diagnostic reviews, alongside the reviews and prescribing. supporting the rest of the team. Daily 'duty' work coming into the team also forms a large part of the role.

Although initially based around the West Suffolk catchment, this role may require working county-wide from different NSFT base-sites or other health based locations.

We would be looking for someone with a positive approach to change, willingness to be involved in service development and ability to work as a team to achieve these changes.

Hi - my name is Matt and I've worked for the Trust for over 20 years. I have always found this a brilliant organisation to work for and have felt totally supported by my colleagues both in East and West Suffolk and across the wider Trust. I had a change of direction moving from the inpatient ward to ADHD 3 years ago and working for the ADHD team is a refreshing change of pace as well as interesting and rewarding. I have never heard as much positive feedback about how our input is life-changing as I have since joining this team. I feel involved and consulted about changes and whilst the workload is high due to the high numbers of referrals, our waiting lists compare favourably with the rest of the NHS.

Why work for us? We have challenges as a Trust, but we have ambitious aspirations, are pushing ahead with exciting transformation work and we need dedicated individuals to support us on our journey. We have strong, established professional networks coupled with an exceptional leadership team who will ensure you are truly cared for and cared about.

Why Norfolk and Suffolk? The people here are warm and welcoming, you'll never be far from the beautiful coastline or Broads National Park. We're an hour and a half away from London and have an international airport in Norwich too. Our villages, towns and cities are packed full of history, independent cafes, shops and theatres. We have excellent shopping, eating out, top ranking schooling and affordable house prices too.
