We are hiring for our client, a leading manufacturing organisation, who wish to appoint a Financial Controller to join their team. This is a highly commercial and strategic finance role, ideal for an ambitious finance professional seeking to take the next step in their career. The successful Financial Controller will lead a small finance team, partner closely with operational leaders, and play a key role in driving business performance and improvement.

The Role:

  • Lead and direct a finance team of four, covering financial and cost accounting, management reporting, and variance analysis.

  • Maintain full financial control, ensuring compliance with GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and audit requirements.

  • Oversee monthly reporting, ensuring results are communicated effectively to stakeholders.

  • Manage the monthly R&O and quarterly forecasting processes.

  • Support the formulation and delivery of business strategy.

  • Drive business improvements through accurate and timely financial insights.

  • Partner with cross-functional managers to support decision-making and business development.

  • Deliver accurate machine costing information and implement cycle counting procedures.

  • Oversee annual planning and budgeting, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

The Person:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong post-qualification experience.

  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.

  • Excellent analytical and commercial acumen.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience within a manufacturing or production environment is desirable.
