Implementation Consultant – UK based (Remote with 25-50% travel)
Intro to the company:  Thingtrax is a VC-backed UK-based AI company transforming how food manufacturers see, understand, and optimise their production lines. Our focus is on deploying Computer Vision AI Agents that automate critical visual inspection tasks on the factory floor, starting with three core use cases: count, quality, and label verification.
These AI Agents integrate seamlessly into existing production environments, delivering instant, actionable insights that enhance accuracy, reduce waste, and ensure compliance. For enterprise customers, Thingtrax offers an optional Line Efficiency layer or integration with existing MES and OEE systems to deliver a holistic view of performance.
Our mission is to enable every food manufacturer to achieve world-class operational performance through intelligent automation, replacing manual checks with trustworthy, real-time AI intelligence.
Our Values:
  • Be Real
  • Seek Truth
  • Take Responsibility
  • Empower Others
  • Create Customer Value

Position Overview:  Thingtrax is seeking an Implementation Consultant to play a pivotal role in deploying our Computer Vision AI Agents within leading food manufacturing environments. You will guide customers through the full implementation journey, from understanding their operational needs to ensuring the successful installation, calibration, and adoption of our AI-based visual inspection solutions. You'll act as the bridge between our commercial and technical teams, helping clients realise tangible ROI through automation of critical visual tasks such as count, quality, and label verification. The ideal candidate will combine strong project management skills with hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, quality control, or process improvement, ideally within food and beverage production. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of applied AI in manufacturing, helping customers reduce waste, improve quality, and accelerate efficiency through intelligent automation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead customer onboarding and end-to-end implementation of Thingtrax's Computer Vision AI Agents for visual inspection use cases (count, quality, and label verification).
  • Collaborate closely with sales and customer success teams to translate customer requirements into actionable implementation plans.
  • Configure, test, and calibrate AI Agent deployments in real production environments, ensuring accurate and reliable data capture.
  • Train customer teams on how to use and interpret insights from Thingtrax AI solutions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Advise customers on process optimisation opportunities enabled by AI-driven visual intelligence.
  • Where applicable, support integration of Thingtrax AI Agents with existing MES, OEE, or Line Efficiency systems to create a unified performance view.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to share customer feedback and influence product enhancements.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and communication with all stakeholders to ensure successful go-lives and long-term adoption.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them build confidence in deploying AI within regulated, high-speed manufacturing environments.

Requirements:
  • Experience in implementation, project delivery, or technical consulting within manufacturing, automation, or industrial technology environments.
  • Strong understanding of factory floor operations, ideally within food or beverage manufacturing, including quality control, packaging, and production processes.
  • Proven experience implementing AI, vision, automation, or data-driven systems in production or operational contexts.
  • Familiarity with camera-based inspection, machine learning, or computer vision applications is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple customer projects, timelines, and stakeholders with clear communication and accountability.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with sales, product, and engineering teams.
  • Solid understanding of Continuous Improvement (CI) and data-driven problem-solving principles.
  • Project management certification (e.g. Prince2, PMP) or relevant experience in structured delivery methodologies preferred.
  • Analytical thinker with a practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving in live manufacturing environments.
  • Passion for AI and automation technologies and their potential to transform the future of manufacturing.
