Role: Primary Teacher

Location: Gainsborough, Lincolnshire

Contract: Flexible temporary roles (day-to-day, short-term and long-term)

Start date: January 2026

Salary: £32,916 -£45,351 per annum (depending on experience and/or qualifications).

About the role:

Are you a passionate and adaptable Primary Teacher looking for flexibility and variety in your work? Heart of Supply is delighted to be recruiting Primary Supply Teachers to support our valued partner schools across Gainsborough and the surrounding areas, commencing January 2026.

These rewarding and flexible roles include day-to-day, short-term, and longer-term opportunities across EYFS, KS1, and KS2. You'll have the chance to work in a range of welcoming schools across Grantham, delivering engaging lessons, following well-prepared plans, and helping to create a positive, consistent learning environment in the absence of the regular class teacher.

We're seeking enthusiastic, reliable educators who can quickly build rapport with pupils and staff, manage behaviour positively, and bring a calm, confident presence to the classroom. Whether you're inspiring a Reception class with phonics or supporting Year 6 pupils with revision, you'll be making a real difference every day.

In return, you'll enjoy:

  • The freedom to choose when and where you work
  • Supportive relationships with a dedicated and caring team
  • Opportunities to gain experience across a range of schools
  • Competitive rates of pay and ongoing professional support

What you will need:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and recent experience in a UK primary setting
  • A nurturing, flexible teaching approach with the ability to connect quickly with pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
  • Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management rooted in positive reinforcement
  • The ability to follow pre-set work while bringing your own creativity and energy to the classroom
  • Clear communication, a proactive attitude, and the ability to build rapport with pupils and staff alike
  • A minimum of 6 weeks' teaching experience in the UK

What we offer you:

  • Competitive weekly PAYE pay
  • Roles tailored to your lifestyle, day-to-day or longer term
  • Access to exclusive opportunities in great local schools
  • A friendly, experienced consultant who listens (hi, I'm Jess)
  • Free CPD and ongoing professional development
  • A simple 'Refer a Friend' scheme
  • A warm, supportive agency that genuinely cares about you and your journey

We're fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All applicants will undergo thorough vetting, including enhanced DBS (with children's barred list check and Update Service registration), references, and online checks as part of our compliance process.
