Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate BARISTA to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will possess strong barista skills and a background in hospitality, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food., you must maintain food safety standards, and create a welcoming environment for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of café operations, including staff management, inventory control, and customer service.
  • Supervise and train café staff to ensure excellent service and adherence to food safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Ensure the café maintains high standards of cleanliness and organisation in both front-of-house and kitchen areas.
  • Monitor food production processes to guarantee quality and consistency in all offerings.
  • Handle customer inquiries and feedback with professionalism, striving to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients while managing costs effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations within the café environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or restaurant industry is essential.
  • Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food production techniques and food safety practices.
  • Excellent team management abilities, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration.
  • Previous experience in bartending or hotel management is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required by the business needs.

Barista Duties and Skills

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and specialty drinks to café standards.
  • Train staff in advanced coffee-making techniques, including latte art and proper equipment use.
  • Maintain and clean all coffee-making equipment, troubleshooting and performing basic repairs as needed.
  • Stay updated on coffee trends and introduce innovative offerings to the menu.
