Join us as Facilities Manager to lead estate and workplace master planning activities for a high-tech design, engineering and manufacturing company across multiple UK sites.
Salary: Circa £72,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
This is a key senior and influential position within our Facilities Management organisation, requiring the ability to provide strategic thought leadership, working with the business to develop to define the future workplace needs, being confident to push effective utilisation of resources and exploitation of efficiency opportunities. The ability to communicate ideas clearly to directors and stakeholders across the business, as well as being able to drive these ideas to become a reality is absolutely essential for this role.
You will be joining an enthusiastic, multi-discipline Facilities Management team that is growing to support the expanding property portfolio of the UK business. The team will about 60 people by the end of 2026, we manage all aspects of FM service and property provision through an extensive network of embedded and framework suppliers. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent workplace experiences to around 6,000 core business employees across 250 acres and 170,000sqm of ever evolving building stock.
What we're looking for from you:
- You will be a strategic thinker and develop, deliver and maintain the UK Facilities and work place strategy
- Strong personable leader, able to clearly communicate and influence across a complex map of stakeholders.
- Track-record of bringing together a diverse range of Engineering, Programme and Central Functions and successfully leading prioritisation and alignment
- Be able to manage internal discussions to coordinate facilities and workplace requirements and solutions
- Experience of working in a complex environment and ability to create clarity
- Ability to create and present options and guidance to top management for decision making
- Be a senior focal point across all sites in the UK in regards to site master planning
- Lead external professionals to develop RIBA 0 and 1 feasibility reports including cost plans and project programmes
- Create projects definitions that are issued to FM project delivery teams for further design and implementation
