About The Role
We're looking for a caring, organised and proactive
Pastoral & Attendance Officer
to join our Football Education Academy team. This role is all about helping our student-athletes thrive — supporting their wellbeing, tracking attendance, and ensuring the smooth running of daily academy life.
You'll work closely with students, parents, coaches, and staff to make sure everyone feels supported, informed and connected. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people, is passionate about education and sport, and wants to make a real difference in a dynamic, positive environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting students through regular check-ins and pastoral care
- Recording and monitoring attendance, following up absences and raising any safeguarding concerns
- Acting as a friendly first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors
- Keeping student records accurate and up to date
- Assisting with communication, fixture planning, travel arrangements, and event coordination
- Helping to keep the academy running smoothly day to day
What We're Looking For
- Someone who genuinely enjoys supporting young people
- Great organisational and time management skills
- Confident communicator who builds positive relationships easily
- Calm, reliable, and able to juggle different priorities
- IT literate (Microsoft Office / Google Workspace) and comfortable with admin tasks
- Experience working in education, sport, or youth settings would be a big plus
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Level 3 qualification (A-Level, BTEC or equivalent)
- A degree or diploma in Education, Youth Work, or Social Work – desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of attendance systems or football administration – a bonus
- Understanding of safeguarding, welfare, and GDPR
Safeguarding
We're committed to keeping all our students safe. The successful candidate will need to complete an
Enhanced DBS check
and follow our safeguarding and child protection policies.
Our Mission
At the Football Education Academy, we use football as a platform to help young people grow — not just as players, but as confident, capable individuals. We believe in teamwork, respect, and giving every student the support they need to reach their goals, both on and off the pitch.
