The Opportunity

We are seeking a
commercially focused, dynamic, and resilient Area Sales Manager
to join our UK team. This is a pivotal fieldbased role where you'll be responsible for developing and growing customer relationships, driving specification and project opportunities, and maximising sales within your territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Development:
    Build, manage, and grow relationships with existing distributors, manufacturers, and key influencers including architects and Designers.
  • New Business:
    Identify and convert new opportunities through proactive prospecting and market awareness.
  • Specification Sales:
    Secure project and product specifications with architects and contractors across relevant construction sectors.
  • Sales Planning:
    Work closely with the Head of Sales to deliver against strategic goals and commercial targets.
  • Product Knowledge:
    Maintain an in depth understanding of our product portfolio and demonstrate its value to customers.
  • Reporting:
    Provide regular market feedback, customer insights, and performance updates.
  • Collaboration:
    Partner with internal teams to support product development, customer service, and marketing initiatives.
  • Brand Representation:
    Represent SIMONSWERK professionally at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within hardware, construction, or architectural sectors.
  • Experience working with or selling to architectural ironmongers, developers, architects and manufacturers.
  • A results focused approach with the ability to work independently in a field based role.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Competence in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • GAI diploma is desirable but not essential.
