ESR Debt Strategies provides flexible financing solutions for real estate companies and investors. We focus on a diverse range of commercial asset classes, including living, logistics, hospitality, offices, and alternative real estate assets across Europe and the UK.

Our flexible approach allows us to support value creation through asset acquisitions, refurbishments, repositioning, and debt refinancing. Financing solutions typically range between €15mn and €80mn, structured as senior or subordinated loans with up to 5-year terms.

Since its launch in 2013, the ESR Debt platform has successfully invested more than €4.5bn across Europe, building a strong track record, deep market relationships, and a reputation for delivering tailored real estate credit solutions.

Join Our Team

We are looking for a talented individual to join our successful commercial real estate debt team as an intern. The successful candidate will be supporting the existing team in all phases of the lending process, portfolio management and investor reporting. Subject to performance, there is an opportunity to convert the internship into a permanent position on completion of a 6-month period.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Work on research, underwriting and due diligence to evaluate investment opportunities
  • Building detailed and dynamic cash flow models of transactions to analyse various capital structures and asset performance scenarios
  • Helping prepare comprehensive presentations
  • Support structuring and execution of transactions
  • Contribute to portfolio management activity such as monitoring and reporting on exposures

Requirements

  • A graduate from a leading university, ideally in a numerate discipline, with good analytical background
  • Pro-active and self-motivated with a genuine interest in developing a career within real estate credit
  • Critical to have excellent quantitative, cash flow modelling and IT skills
  • Desire to work in a close-knit multi-discipline and entrepreneurial team with a strong work ethic
  • Proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in both written and verbal presentations
  • Other languages would be beneficial
