The Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will support our finance function and play a key role in managing day-to-day accounts processes. While previous property industry experience is advantageous, it is not essential — we are more interested in someone with solid accounts knowledge and the right attitude to learn and grow with the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing accounts payable and processing supplier invoices.
  • Raising and issuing client invoices accurately and on time.
  • Monitoring and chasing monies owed, ensuring prompt payment.
  • Supporting account management across multiple clients and property portfolios.
  • Overseeing utility management including billing queries and reconciliations.
  • Assisting with financial reporting and other ad-hoc accounting tasks.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in an accounts role (essential).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Confident in handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (knowledge of property management systems is desirable but not essential).
  • Experience within commercial property or a related sector would be an advantage, but full training will be given.
