Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher with preparing and delivering daily lessons and interventions.
  • Lead sessions in workshop environments, managing resources and ensuring equipment safety.
  • Complete daily reports on learner progress and any barriers to learning.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers.
  • Assist in managing behavioural challenges effectively and calmly.
  • Motivate, inspire and challenge students to achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute positively to our organisational vision and values.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a strong, supportive team.
  • Use strong subject knowledge in English and Maths to support learners.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year's experience as a Teaching Assistant in an educational setting.
  • Relevant qualification/training in Special Education.
  • Experience supporting learners with an EHCP is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for teaching, learning and continuous improvement.
  • Confidence in supporting planning and assessment; creative and proactive approach.
  • Willingness to develop construction knowledge (training provided).
