Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring timely delivery
- Serve food and drinks in accordance with safety and hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations
- Assist in food preparation as required, adhering to food safety regulations
- Upsell menu items to maximise guest satisfaction and revenue opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system
- Ensure guest queries are addressed promptly and professionally
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently, including food safety protocols
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during peak hours
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and responsibilities
