The Opportunity

We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join the firm's successful Private Client team, supporting solicitors who handle a wide range of matters such as wills, probate, trusts, LPAs, estate planning, and elderly client work.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, detail-focused, and enjoys working closely with both clients and colleagues. Ideal for someone looking to build a long-term legal career in a nurturing and reputable firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative and legal support to the Private Client team.
  • Drafting and preparing documents including wills, LPAs, and probate forms.
  • Assisting with the management of client files, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Handling client enquiries with professionalism and sensitivity.
  • Liaising with third parties such as the Probate Registry, financial institutions, and other professionals.
  • Managing diaries, appointments, and general team coordination.
  • Supporting fee earners in progressing client matters efficiently.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience working within a legal environment is preferred (private client experience is a bonus).
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communication skills when dealing with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • IT proficiency, including case management systems and Microsoft Office.
