Role Summary:
We are seeking a PR Assistant to support our growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all areas of PR, from press outreach and social media management to event coordination and content creation. You will work closely with our director and social media manager, supporting both client campaigns and editorial initiatives for The Mayfair Musings. The position is primarily remote, but requires in-person meetings in Mayfair for team collaboration and event planning.
What It Looks Like:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with media contacts and partners
- Assisting with client campaigns that generate tangible coverage in national, regional, and luxury publications
- Contributing to the growth and engagement of The Mayfair Musings online readership and social channels
- Helping to deliver flawless client and in-house events, from concept to execution
- Supporting the team in daily administrative, creative, and strategic PR tasks with attention to detail and professionalism
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting press releases, media pitches, and client communications
- Maintain and update media lists and press databases
- Monitor media coverage and prepare reports for clients
- Support social media management and content creation for clients and The Mayfair Musings
- Coordinate logistics for events, including venue liaising, invitations, and onsite support
- Research and identify PR opportunities to enhance client visibility
- Provide general administrative support to the PR team as needed
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team
- Experience with social media management, press relations, or event coordination is a plus
- Interest in luxury lifestyle, media, and hospitality sectors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter)
- Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt in a fast-paced, creative environment
