About the Position
We are excited to have a Senior Consultant Sustainability opportunity in a fast-growing team based in the United Kingdom. Whilst you will initially be part of a relatively small team, this position comes with the opportunity to help shape the future, and the prospect of being part of a far bigger picture as a member of both the global Antea community and the global Inogen Alliance. Whilst we offer hybrid roles, feeling an integral part of a business is important to us all and regular company get-togethers give us all the opportunity to catch up in person and keep informed on company business.
Role responsibilities:
- Managing client projects from inception through to completion, including the design and management of sustainability assessments
- Undertaking a variety of ESG/sustainability focussed services including carbon accountancy, product lifecycle assessments, energy audits, sustainability assessments (CDP, EcoVadis etc.), climate-related disclosures (CSRD, UK SRS); and climate change risk assessments and adaptation plans
- Contributing towards business development activities, identifying new service lines and markets; proposal writing; creating marketing content
- Supporting Transaction Support and Environmental Planning teams with sustainability requirements of multi-disciplinary projects
- Mentor and support junior colleagues.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels within the business, with clients and their teams, subcontractors and other third parties
To be successful in this role, individuals must demonstrate:
- A bachelor's degree in relevant subject, though relevant experience is equally valued.
- At least three years' experience as a professional sustainability consultant
- Membership of an appropriate professional body
- A clear understanding of the legislative and planning policy framework as it relates to environmental issues, energy, GHG reporting, Net-Zero, climate change
- A clear understanding of sustainability disclosure frameworks and metrics including TCFD, CSRD, UK SRS, EU Taxonomy etc
- Sound site reconnaissance and surveying skills
- The ability to write concise, high quality, technical reports in line with best practice standards guidelines.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Full clean driving licence.
- A willingness to travel and to work away from home with occasional longer or unsociable hours.
Additional desirable qualifications
- Experience of using GIS
- Knowledge of biodiversity net gain and Taskforce on Nature-Related Financial Disclosures (TNFD)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Our EHS consulting operation in the United Kingdom is supported by our sister company, Antea Group USA.
This position will be a hybrid role, being primarily homebased with periodic travel required to Antea Group offices or client premises in the United Kingdom. Some project locations will require overnight travel (up to 25%). The successful candidate must have the right to work in the UK.
