Are you passionate about promoting holistic child development and a deep connection with nature? Green Planet Forest School are looking for a qualified Forest School Leader to design and deliver fun and engaging Forest School programmes to support children aged 4-13. These may be during school time, at afterschool and holiday clubs or for our home education or alternative provision sessions. with excellent career progression opportunities available for the right candidate. 

Pay: £24,999 - £28,938 DOE (37.5 hours week)

About Green Planet:

We provide children with a fun and immersive outdoor experience that benefits their development and appreciation of nature, and that's why we are Buckinghamshire's favourite Forest School provider.

Our Forest School program is designed to instil a lifelong love of the natural world, while also giving them confidence to assess, manage and take calculated risks, which results in greater confidence to try new things. You can find us delivering exciting and fun sessions during school time, at afterschool clubs, at holiday clubs and for home educated and alternative provision groups, around Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. 

Location:

Multiple locations around the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire border; Buckingham, Banbury, the Heyfords, Fritwell, Finstock

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver Forest School programmes for multiple sites and age groups

  • Develop partnerships with educational establishments

  • Collaborate with the leadership team

Applicant Requirements:

  • Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to work with different groups of staff, teachers,

students and the general public

  • A flexible and proactive work ethic and a positive attitude

  • Strong customer focus and ability to demonstrate the importance of service quality

  • Ability to communicate to the needs of different audiences

  • Punctual, organised (can organise own workload and that of support staff/volunteers)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering Forest School to this age group

  • Level 3 Forest School Leader (essential)

  • First Aid (advantageous)

  • Safeguarding and educational background (advantageous)

Closing Date: 28th November

Candidates must be 18 years or over and hold a valid UK driving license.

A DBS enhanced disclosure will be required following our strict safeguarding procedures.
