Are you enthusiastic about hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service? Burgess Hall, part of HDC's One Leisure service, is looking for Hospitality Assistants to join our dynamic team. This is a variable-hours role, perfect for those who enjoy working in a fast-paced events environment.

As a Hospitality Assistant, you will:

  • Provide a high-quality bar and catering service during events and functions
  • Serve food and beverages, take orders, and process payments (cash and card)
  • Maintain cleanliness and stock levels in bar areas
  • Check guest identification for alcohol purchases and prepare drinks
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal requirements
  • Contribute to the positive image of Burgess Hall and the wider One Leisure service.
About you

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in customer service and hospitality (desirable)
  • Is confident with cash handling and food preparation (essential)
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Can work flexibly, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain high standards under pressure
  • Holds a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable).

This role requires a strong team player who takes pride in creating memorable experiences for our guests.

This is a variable-hours position with no guaranteed set days or times. Hours will depend on the event schedule, making it ideal for those looking to earn extra income alongside full-time or part-time work, studies, or simply wanting flexibility without fixed shifts.

An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK. HDC does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) or take over sponsorship for any role.
