Overview

We are seeking a skilled vehicle mechanical technician to join our dynamic team. As a mechanical technician we want you to bring your previous experience to us. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and have experience in a varied model mix of both cars and light commercial vehicles. Electrical and diagnostic experience would be an advantage. As a prep technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services and upholding our commitment to quality.

We are a fast-growing vehicle refurbishment operation in Corby

Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair work to manufacturer standards
  • Diagnose and resolve vehicle faults using specialist diagnostic equipment
  • Complete vehicle health checks and record findings accurately
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and resolve advisory issues
  • Ensure efficiency and productivity targets are met consistently
  • Work closely with workshop advisors to provide accurate repair times and updates
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and compliance with health & safety regulations
  • Deliver excellent workmanship, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business

Experience

  • Ideal candidates should be qualified to City and Guilds or NVQ level 2 or 3 in vehicle mechanical repairs.
  • Experience in a multi franchise environment preferred, with strong diagnostic software skills
  • Strong understanding of vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repair processes
  • High levels of efficiency with a results-driven approach
  • A positive, proactive attitude with a focus on teamwork and delivering results
  • Full UK driving licence is required
