Role description

This part-time hybrid role is based in Greater London with flexibility for some remote work. The post will suit someone who wants to get into the creative media industry by learning on the job, closely supervised, and who has a very high standard of written and spoken English. You will be a key person in a small team.

You will learn a range of skills as you go, including basic administration, selling and persuading, writing and updating web pages and social media promotion. It will help your application if you have work experience in website management or other media; have an aptitude for social media promotion; also for selling and persuading; and can show that you want to work in a creative business.

As well as basic administration and continuously persuading clients to open or renew online advertising agreements for both sites you will manage the home page content; do social media posts; write a monthly newsletter; monitor traffic statistics and keep colleagues informed. Occasionally there are overdue payments to be chased.

Qualifications

A relevant degree is useful but not essential, but please note the importance of the high standard of written and spoken English mentioned above. This is an entry-level job, so proven skills are not essential. However, it will help if you can show an aptitude for writing clearly without wasting words, selling and persuading and an interest in marketing. This last includes a confident telephone manner - you won't thrive in the job if you don't like talking to strangers on the phone.
