This is a great job for someone
with a strong understanding of Financial Markets and Institutional Investors' investment requirements.
A bit about the job:
We are seeking a motivated individual to join Aviva Investors as an Associate within the Structured & Private Debt (S&PD) team. This full-time role, based in London, offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and multi-skilled team responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of private debt transactions. The successful candidate will collaborate across multiple countries, business sectors, and departments within Aviva Investors and the wider Aviva Group. Key responsibilities include assisting with financial modelling, structuring and execution of private debt opportunities and associated derivatives, preparing and presenting investment analysis to internal and external investment committees, and engaging with stakeholders such as risk, credit, operations, and investors. The role also involves researching new asset classes and conducting risk/return and feasibility analysis to support investment recommendations.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
- Strong academic record with a quantitative degree
- Relevant capital markets, corporate and public finance experience
- Experience of structured or private debt investment products, particularly fund financing transactions and securitised products
- Experience of using external credit rating agencies rating methodologies to rate private transactions
- Progressing towards professional qualification (CFA, CAIA or any other industry specific qualification)
What you'll get for this role:
- Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in
- Eligibility for annual performance bonus
- Family friendly parental and carer's leave
- Generous holiday entitlement plus bank holidays with the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days
- Up to 40% discount for Aviva products
- Aviva-funded Private Medical Benefit to help you get expert support when you need it
- Brilliant flexible benefits including electric cars
- Aviva Matching Share Plan and Save As You Earn scheme
- 21 volunteering hours per year
In this role you'll be 'Certified' under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority's Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we'll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we'll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain 'fit and proper' and competent to carry out your role. We'll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.
