And that's where you come in.Job Description:Job title: IT Network & Infrastructure EngineerContract Type: 12-month fixed term contract Location: Ludgate Hill, London or Newton Aycliffe (Hybrid)Salary: Between £55,000 - £65,000 DOEYour new role Here at Hitachi Rail we have a unique opportunity for an experienced IT Network & Infrastructure Engineer to join the team on a 12-month fixed term basis. As an IT Network & Infrastructure Engineer you will support and implement core networking systems as well as providing technical support for all network related services including Cisco and Fortigate, BT MPLS, Colt MIA.Other key responsibilities include:Utilise technical skills and experience to resolve new or unforeseen problems.Support the infra team on Incident, problem management and change management of Networking related activities.Support Project related activitiesTravel to other company sites to assist in problem resolution as required and deployment of New hardware installations or upgrades.Deployment of updates and fixes to network equipment to mitigate security vulnerabilities, in order to maintain cyber security complianceHardening activities to ensure networking equipment complies with Cyber security policies and in line with cyber essentials + certificationAs a secondary responsibility there are opportunities to assist infrastructure team in non-network equipment related activities, such as DHCP, DNS, Zscaler ZIA, ZPA, monitoring, asset management, server admin, mitel telephony, firewall administration and many moreWork with other colleagues, group company services and third-party providers to ensure business services are delivered in a timely and reliable mannerTo be aware of, and actively promote and implement Hitachi's ethos, culture and values.To adhere to the Hitachi Rail Europe's Equal Opportunities Policy.To comply with and implement Hitachi Rail Europe's Health and Safety policy.To undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as may be requiredAbout youEssential Strong Interpersonal skills, ability to communicate to business managersFluent written and spoken EnglishRobust experience in providing networking support for corporate Infrastructure systems in a multi-site organisation (> 500 persons)Strong experience in supporting Cisco switches, access point, Wireless Lan controllers systems and upgradesStrong experience in supporting Fortigate firewalls, creation of firewall rule, VPN's, DMZ's etc.Strong Knowledge of IP networking, including routing and securityStrong experience of Cisco WIFI technologiesGood working knowledge of zScaler ZIA, ZPA, branch connectorsDesirableCCNA certifiedGood working knowledge windows server administrationGood understanding of hardware virtualisation, particularly VMWare.Good understanding in Trellix security products, SCCM, IvantiGood understanding with latest versions of Citrix XenAppWhat we offer We value the importance of all of our employees, if you would like to join our fantastic organisation you could be entitled to:Competitive salaryAnnual Performance bonus paid on discretionary basis.25 days holidayPension scheme with contributions up to 9%Private medical insurancePersonal Accident insuranceGroup Income protectionGroup Life InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgrammeWe also offer additional perks for you to choose from within a flexible plan that will meet your specific needs and lifestyle.#LI-GF1Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
