About The Job
Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what's right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.
As a key member of the Trust & Safety team, you will own the end-to-end delivery and scaling of our product policies. This is a critical priority for T&S leadership, and your work will directly impact user safety and platform integrity. Your responsibilities will span the full policy lifecycle, including initial launch, scaling, performance monitoring, feedback-driven iteration, and ongoing support for enforcement and escalations.
Responsibilities
- Identify policy issues that may affect Google and understand their impact, and manage high-impact policy escalations and suggest improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate policy implementation through the development of comprehensive knowledge bases, detailed training materials, and ongoing calibration.
- Establish and maintain high-quality "golden label" datasets to support model training, safety evaluators, and rigorous policy testing across violative, non-violative, and edge-case scenarios.
- Monitor ongoing performance trends and manage complex escalations to identify policy gaps, while conducting regular industry analysis to benchmark and pressure-test our safety standards.
