Property Litigation Paralegal
Location: Manchester
Salary: £24,000 - £32,000
Working Pattern: Full-time, Permanent
Experience required: Property litigation experience with proven ability to manage own caseload
About the Role
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Litigation Paralegal to join a growing team at a leading full-service law firm.
This is a chance to work within a dynamic, collaborative department led by a nationally recognised partner. You'll manage your own caseload with autonomy while benefiting from expert guidance and exposure to high-quality work across both property and private litigation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Case Management:
- Independently manage your own caseload of property litigation matters
- Handle a broad spectrum of disputes with confidence
- Manage cases from instruction through to resolution
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standard
- Legal Support:
- Provide support to solicitors on complex property disputes
- Assist with case preparation and strategy
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Prepare case summaries and chronologies
- Documentation & Drafting:
- Draft legal documents, correspondence, and court pleadings
- Prepare witness statements and evidence bundles
- Review and analyse lease agreements and property documents
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in all documentation
- Client Communication:
- Liaise with clients, providing updates and guidance
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Manage client expectations effectively
- Provide excellent client care throughout matters
- Dispute Resolution:
- Assist with overage disputes
- Support easement matters
- Work on lease renewals, dilapidations, forfeiture, and relief
- Handle possession claims (residential and commercial)
- Manage service charge disputes
- Support leasehold enfranchisement matters
- Assist with co-ownership disputes
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with colleagues across contentious probate and private litigation
- Work closely with the nationally recognised partner leading the department
- Share knowledge and expertise across the team
- Contribute to the development of the department
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a Paralegal in property litigation
- Demonstrated ability to manage own caseload independently
- Strong background in property disputes
- Experience across multiple areas of property litigation
- Strong drafting and legal writing skills
- Confident in managing high-pressure situations and tight deadlines
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Proficient in case management systems and Microsoft Office
Desirable:
- Experience with overage disputes, easements, lease renewals, possession claims, service charge disputes
- Knowledge of contentious probate or private litigation
- Court experience and familiarity with court procedures
- Working towards or interested in qualifying as a Solicitor or Legal Executive
- LPC or equivalent qualification
