Our client, a successful and modern accountancy practice, is seeking a Senior Accountant or Management Accountant to join their growing organisation. In this role you will be working in a friendly and fast-paced environment overseeing a team of Management Accountants / Bookkeepers

The ideal individual will have previously worked within a practice environment and have strong interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality and have experience of managing a small team.

Supervise and mentor a team of 5 (Management Accountants / Bookkeepers) including completion of PDP'sAllocate client work effectively, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are metProvide technical guidance and support to staffEnsure smooth transition and integration of new clients into the practice workstreamsPrepare and review complex management accounts, including group consolidationsDeliver cash flow forecasts and budgeting models tailored to client needs as and when requiredReview and sign off VAT returns, ensuring compliance and accuracyStep in to cover management accounts and bookkeeping duties during staff absencesMaintain high standards of service continuity and client satisfactionEnsure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirementsIdentify process improvements and contribute to practice developmentSkills and Experience Required:
ACCA/ CIMA qualified (or equivalent)Practice experience desirable, with experience of leading and developing a teamClient focused with an initiative-taking approach to problem solvingStrong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT, and management reportingExperience in software packages (Xero, Dext, Telleroo, Fathom and Excel) desirableExperience with group consolidations and forecasting tools is highly desirable
