General Role Description

We are seeking a Technical SEO Executive with strong hands-on experience in both on-site and technical SEO. You'll help implement and maintain the technical foundations that support our content, organic performance and growth on both organic search and emerging LLM platforms - from structured data and code optimisation to site audits, crawl efficiency, and Core Web Vitals improvements.

This is a role for someone who enjoys working in the detail - analysing data, troubleshooting performance issues, and implementing technically sound SEO solutions that make a measurable impact.

Work location is flexible – 2 days / week in the office and 3 days / week WFH

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the SEO Manager in managing the technical health of all Timberwise websites.
  • Conduct comprehensive SEO audits (crawl, indexation, site speed, Core Web Vitals, internal linking).
  • Implement technical fixes in WordPress (Elementor) and collaborate on larger development requirements.
  • Implement the creation of pages on the website within the house brand, adding Schema markup to enhance entity recognition and LLM / search engine discoverability.
  • Monitor and report on site performance using Google Search Console, SEMrush, and GA4.
  • Identify and resolve crawl errors, redirect chains, duplicate content, and canonical issues.
  • Manage sitemaps, and meta configurations.
  • Support the Marketing team with keyword analysis, ranking reports, and technical insights to shape content strategy.
  • Stay up to date with algorithm changes, search developments, and AI/LLM-driven SEO opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with the team to ensure technical SEO best practices are applied to all published content.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • 2+ years' experience in SEO with a strong technical focus.
  • Advanced working knowledge of WordPress (Elementor or similar page builder experience required).
  • Proficiency in SEMrush, Google Search Console, and GA4.
  • Experience implementing and testing structured data / Schema markup.
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, PHP, and the ability to add or adjust code safely within the CMS.
  • Knowledge of Core Web Vitals, page speed optimisation, and mobile-first indexing.
  • Strong understanding of crawl budgets, indexation management, and site architecture.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Desirable:

  • Experience optimising sites for LLM and entity-based search.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript SEO principles and rendering challenges.
  • Experience with tag management systems (e.g., GTM).
  • Understanding of local SEO and multi-location site structures.
  • Experience working with service-based or technical industries.

The Benefits:-
