Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (12-hour shifts)

Location: Keighley

Reports to: General Manager

Main Purpose: Organise the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business operations and customer demand, on a day-to-day basis.

To ensure staff comply with health, safety and standard operating procedures as well as housekeeping standards and continuous improvement within the warehouse.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Provide a safe working environment, adhering to the Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team at all times.

· Manage all warehouse staff (small team 6-7 people), including Agency – reporting to manager any attendance, performance and disciplinary issues.

· Produce dispatch notes while training warehousemen or covering holidays.

· Label required deliveries, to enable input into IT system.

· Manage all storage requirement for on-site raw materials, WIP and finished goods.

· Update delivery schedule of pallets on weekly basis to ensure production requirements fulfilled.

· Hands on loading/unloading deliveries as well as other warehouseman duties

· Admin paperwork/booking onto IT system.

· Carry out stock take, for both on and off-site storage monthly.

· Carry out relevant inspections required by law (e.g racking) in conjunction with local Safety Representatives.

· Ensure the relevant cleaning requirements under BRC are carried out.

· Warehouse daily/weekly audits.

· Cover for holidays if required – organize effective cover for themselves and the Warehouse Team.

· Management of on-site Stock – weekly and monthly cycle counts / stock takes; ensuring all stock is clearly identified and stored in the correct location.

· Co-ordinate transfer of materials /Finished Goods to any other sites or external Warehousing and return of materials to site in a timely manner.

Personal Responsibilities

Health & Safety

· To follow all site rules and responsibilities under the company's Health & Safety at Work Policy.

· To ensure you use all equipment within the warehouse/office correctly and it is properly maintained – organizing maintenance visits for relevant equipment (eg. FLTs, Scanners, etc.).

· Report any safety infringement and ensure any health and safety issues/suggestions are forwarded to the Health and Safety Officer.

· To know the locations of emergency exits and practice correct evacuation procedures.

· Ensure the correct handling procedures for potentially hazardous products are followed.

· Operatives must be aware of waste separation and recycling requirements.

· To carry out all duties in accordance with Company's policy on Health & Safety, wearing protective clothing/equipment supplied, at all times.

Other Responsibilities

· To clock in and out at the start and finish of shift to record attendance.

· To work as trained, with regard to all tasks undertaken within their role.

· To maintain the required performance and accuracy standards.

· To work flexibly, on whichever duty (as per training/qualification), when and where required, whilst on shift.

Quality

· To be responsible for working to the requirements of the company's Quality Policy and procedure.

· To make suggestions as to how any Quality systems can be improved.

Housekeeping

· All tasks that contribute to the cleaning, and maintaining of good, safe standards in all operating areas. This includes the clearing of litter, wrap and debris from aisles and yard, the mopping of small liquid spills, the sweeping of fine debris and the removal of damaged pallets.

· To comply with all Hygiene regulations stipulated within the BRC procedures, trained out at induction.

· To make every effort to conserve power and minimize waste.

· To wear the uniform and safety wear provided, keeping it clean and tidy at all times.

Communication

· To communicate accurately and effectively with all members of staff any information required to ensure the performance of your role and company performance, and ensure any issues are raised immediately to make sure they are resolved quickly.

Security

· To ensure understanding and compliance with the Company's security procedures including those for IT.

· To report any unauthorized personnel seen on the premises, and any incident of damage or theft.
