We are Max Fame Luxury Packaging, part of an established group expanding our environmentally friendly packaging solutions in the UK for prestige luxury brands in the whisky and confectionery industries. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to champion our quality assurance processes and drive a culture of product excellence.
If you have a strong background in quality management within a manufacturing environment and a laser focus on maintaining the highest product standards, your mission is clear: Quality is key to our customer's success, and you will be essential in making that a reality.
Key Responsibilities
Your role is to ensure our packaging products not only meet but exceed the high standards required by certifications like BRC, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and FSC, and, crucially, our customers' specific requirements.

- Quality Oversight: Act as a quality role model, monitoring and working closely with production and office teams to integrate and achieve established quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyse data and trends related to product quality and manufacturing processes to identify and implement robust areas for improvement.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate customer complaints and non-conformities, implementing effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Supplier Collaboration (Quality Focus): Work with colleagues to monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure adherence to our quality requirements.
- Reporting & Measurement: Measure quality performance by gathering relevant data (efficiency and effectiveness) and produce clear reports for management review.
- Training & Mentoring: Liaise with and train staff in quality tools and techniques to ensure competency, adherence to processes, and achievement of quality standards.
- Stay Ahead: Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and advancements in quality management to ensure ongoing enhancement of our systems.
Qualifications & Experience required
We need someone who can hit the ground running and make a real impact on our quality output.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in quality assurance, with strong knowledge of managing and maintaining BRC, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards, preferably in a manufacturing or food product packaging environment.
- Quality Expertise: Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and testing tools. (e.g., FSC and HACCP principles knowledge is a bonus)
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of implementing effective solutions.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively across all functions.
