Plumber / Improver – £30,000 to £35,000 – Medway and Surrounding Area
CJS Recruitment are seeking a dependable, hands-on Plumber/Improver who is looking to build a long-term career within a reputable, growing business. This role is ideally suited to someone recently qualified or with 2–5 years' experience who is ready to take the next step.
The Role:
You will be carrying out a wide range of work across plumbing, heating, and renewable systems. The core areas include Medway, the outskirts of London and some coastal locations. The role offers strong variety, ongoing development, and the chance to progress into a fully qualified Gas Engineer with additional certifications.
What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years' experience in plumbing or heating
- Newly qualified Gas Engineer or an Improver looking to gain Gas qualifications
- Practical, adaptable, and confident working independently
- Reliable, committed and able to represent the company professionally
- Able to work across a mix of domestic systems including boilers, heat pumps, AC units, EV charging and general plumbing
What We Offer
- Salary: £30,000–£35,000
- Fully sign-written van ready to go
- Uniform, tools, and fuel provided (hand tools ideally owned by the engineer)
- Professional development opportunities including Gas qualifications, OFTEC and F-Gas courses
- Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm
- Optional Saturday work paid at time and a half
- A strong pipeline of contractor work, with occasional quieter periods
