NHS 24 is Scotland's national provider of digital and tele-healthcare services. Through our national 111 telephone service, we provide access to clinical assessment and triage, health advice and information to the population of Scotland 24/7. NHS 24 is also Scotland's provider of a national health information service via the platform.

As a non-executive member of the Board, you will be expected to play a central role in ensuring the efficient, effective and accountable governance of the organisation including participation in its governance committees. You will be offered the training you need to make a strong contribution.

Role Criteria
Priority Criterion – For One Role

  • Clinical or medical experience in medicine, nursing, dentistry or the allied health professions

Essential Criteria – For Both Roles

  • Ability to challenge and influence effectively in a complex environment at a senior leadership level
  • Analysis and decision making skills
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Appreciation of NHS Scotland's shared values

Remuneration and Time Commitment
£16,224 (non-pensionable) per annum for a time commitment of one day per week (52 days per year). This commitment will vary week to week but you must be able to make a firm commitment to spend 52 days of the year on Board business. Reasonable expenses incurred will be reimbursed.
