What you'll be doing:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, driven and dynamic branch manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day management and profitable growth of our new branch in Ponteland. As an established independent merchant, we differ from a national builders' merchant by giving much more autonomy to our managers, so you will have every opportunity to develop the business further to suit the local market.

You will be responsible for handling everything from sales to stock management and you will have the opportunity to develop a high-performing team to drive the progression of this branch.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop a motivated, high-performing team
• Drive branch profitability through effective sales, stock, and resource management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
• Ensure excellent customer service standards and timely delivery performance
• Maintain compliance with Health & Safety and company procedures
• Take responsibility for branch performance, including commercial decision-making and cost control

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and problem solver with a "can do" attitude. You will need to demonstrate previous experience working within a Management or Supervisory position in a Builders Merchants environment or similar industry. Have Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach and develop teams.

It is also very important that you can demonstrate commercial awareness, with the ability to achieve targets. With a proactive, hands-on approach with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction
