Forecourt Attendant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Petrol Station Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to customers while ensuring the smooth operation of the petrol station. This role requires a friendly disposition, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs, including fuel purchases and convenience store items.
• Operate fuel pumps and ensure all transactions are processed accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the gas station premises, including forecourt and convenience store areas.
• Assist with merchandising tasks, including stocking shelves and arranging displays to enhance product visibility.
• Upsell products and services to customers.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.
• Manage cash registers, process payments, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Experience

• Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette when handling customer calls.
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and cash handling.
• Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
