Role Description
This is a volunteer hybrid role for a Community Engagement Officer at Life Without Borders in Norwich, with flexibility for some remote work. We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Community Engagement Officer to join our team.
This role is essential to building and maintaining strong connections within our target communities, raising awareness of our initiatives, and ensuring that our mission reaches those who need it most.
As a Community Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for daily social media content management, coordinating various programmes, and distributing physical promotional materials. The Community Engagement Officer will also be responsible for engaging with the community and stakeholders, managing projects, and ensuring effective communication to support the organization's mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Management:
- Develop, schedule, and share daily posts across multiple social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) to engage and grow our online community.
- Interact with followers by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly, fostering a welcoming and inclusive online environment.
Track and analyze social media performance to optimize content and engagement strategies.
Programme Coordination:
- Assist in the planning, organization, and execution of community-focused programmes and events that align with our mission to inform, transform, and integrate immigrants and neurodiverse people.
- Communicate with participants, stakeholders, and partners to ensure successful programme delivery and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Support the development of new programmes that address the needs and challenges faced by
immigrants and neurodiverse people
.Physical Outreach:
- Coordinate the distribution of flyers, posters, and other promotional materials within targeted communities to increase awareness of our services.
Build relationships with local businesses, community centres, and other organizations to facilitate the effective dissemination of information.
Community Engagement:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community members, organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance our outreach efforts.
- Represent Life Without Borders CIC at community events, both virtual and in-person, to promote our work and engage directly with the public.
- Act as a point of contact for community inquiries and provide information on our programmes and services.

Skills and Qualifications
- Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in community engagement, social media management, or a related field. - Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively. - Social Media Expertise:
Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices for community engagement. - Organizational Abilities:
Excellent organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently. - Passion for Social Impact:
A deep commitment to the mission of Life Without Borders CIC and a genuine interest in supporting
immigrants and neurodiverse people
. - Interpersonal Skills, Communication, and Stakeholder Engagement
- Community Engagement and Project Management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
- Experience in community outreach or related field is a plus
