About Us:
Otto Car is one of the UK's fastest-growing private companies in the mobility sector. Helping to get private hire drivers on the road to ownership, our mission is to bring our loved ones home safely. With roots in London, we are expanding our reach to bring affordable, sustainable vehicle ownership solutions to drivers across the UK.
Since our humble beginnings with a single Toyota Prius nine years ago, we've grown into Europe's largest fleet of electric cars on platforms like Uber and Bolt, with thousands of vehicles on the road. We've supported over 20,000 drivers in achieving financial independence and are proud to lead the way in helping private hire drivers transition to a greener future.
Joining Otto Car means becoming part of a fast-paced, values-driven organisation, playing a key role in shaping our future growth and success as we expand regionally.
About the role:
The Regional Operations Co-Ordinator is responsible for ensuring operational rigour, regulatory compliance and process excellence across Otto Car's regional expansion and delivery workflows.
The role will act as a central hub for documentation, compliance oversight, playbook management and process improvement, creating the structure and best practice frameworks that enable regional teams to operate at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support & Administration
- Provide day to day coordination across regional operations, ensuring accurate tracking of vehicle delivery and licensing activities.
- Maintain high standards of document management, including licence applications, compliance submissions and customer records.
- Own updates to delivery pipelines, ensuring timely communication of progress to stakeholders.
- Act as an escalation point for administrative and operational blockers.
Compliance & Council Liaison
- Build and maintain expertise on local authority licensing and compliance requirements, with a focus on ensuring Otto Car stays ahead of regulatory change.
- Submit and track licence applications, proactively following up with councils to prevent delays.
- Maintain a live repository of regional authority requirements to inform internal teams and customers.
- Liaise directly with councils to resolve compliance issues, escalating to leadership where necessary.
Playbook Management & Best Practice
- Develop, manage and continuously improve the Regional Operations Playbook.
- Translate regulatory and operational requirements into practical, step by step guidance for teams.
- Embed best practice across processes, ensuring consistency in execution across regions.
- Partner with leadership and frontline teams to ensure playbooks remain current, relevant and aligned with business needs.
Business Process & Continuous Improvement
- Review and refine regional workflows to identify efficiency gains and risk reduction opportunities.
- Standardise administrative processes to improve accuracy, compliance and speed of execution.
- Provide structured reporting on operational KPIs, surfacing risks and opportunities to management.
- Benchmark Otto's regional operations against market best practice, proactively recommending improvements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Exceptional organisational and administrative capability with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret, simplify and communicate complex regulatory requirements.
- Strong process design and documentation skills, with the ability to create structured playbooks and SOPs.
- Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communicator, confident when engaging with councils, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Self-starter who thrives in an autonomous role but collaborates effectively across teams.
