The Company

Founded in 2008, this company started out as a team of five, with a focus on reducing carbon emissions in the built environment and has since grown into a dynamic and diverse multi-disciplinary practice with more than 50 members of staff, and opening an international office.

As an award-winning, multidisciplinary group with backgrounds in engineering, architecture and environmental science, the team work as consultants for buildings, large developments and masterplans, and providing sustainability and carbon management advice.

Their diverse experience and in-depth technical knowledge position them to provide exceptional added value to design teams, developers and corporate clients. They work as lead consultants, engineers or sustainability champions, overseeing the client's project goals.

They pride themselves in using a technical approach that measures and quantifies the benefits of their proposals, and communicating their strategies to project teams in a clear and accessible manner.

They strive to be in tune with their clients' needs and sustainability ambitions and to carry out detailed analysis of a range of options to meet their project goals.

The Position

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of a thriving team working on a variety of projects including Residential, Commercial, Hotels, and more. With the team looking to expand due to a number of project wins, this Consultancy will offer a path of progression into a Principal level position.

Responsibilities
Able to develop the design standards across the team and mentor junior engineer and graduates.Able to technically lead projects supporting the project, resource and financial management.Support the production of Client briefs / fee proposals, technical design proposals, cost advice, design reviews, outline and scheme design reports, detailed designs, specifications and value engineering.Work closely with the wider MEP team providing technical mechanical input and support.Requirements
Qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineer, or equivalent.Knowledge of applicable building regulations, UK legislation, British Standards and CIBSE Guides in relation to mechanical building services.Experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment, with excellent communication skills both internal and external clients/sponsors.Financially astute being able to monitor fee expenditure, resource and work delivered.Designing mechanical engineering systems at the highest level using the latest software design packages.
