Junior Asset Manager – Real Estate Debt

A leading real estate investment and lending platform is seeking a
Junior Asset Manager
to join its expanding UK & European Real Estate Debt business. This is a rare opportunity to gain broad exposure across
loan asset management, portfolio monitoring, development oversight and investor reporting
within a high-performing and well-capitalised lending platform.

You will join a
small, collaborative team
responsible for managing a portfolio of senior, whole-loan and mezzanine real estate loans across the UK and Europe. The role offers hands-on responsibility, excellent senior visibility, and a clear development path.

Key Responsibilities

Loan Monitoring & Portfolio Analytics

  • Track loan performance, covenant compliance and financial metrics.
  • Review borrower reporting, business plan updates and construction progress.
  • Maintain internal dashboards and portfolio trackers.

Development & Capex Oversight

  • Assist with monthly development drawdowns and project monitoring reports.
  • Support quarterly development capex forecasting.

Reporting & Internal Coordination

  • Contribute to quarterly investor reporting packs.
  • Liaise with fund finance, valuations and internal committees for asset-level data.

Risk & Process Management

  • Identify early warning indicators and performance variances.
  • Support senior team members on amendments, waivers and internal papers.
  • Manage calendar deadlines for valuations, reporting, insurance renewals, etc.

Candidate Profiles

The hiring team is open to candidates from
four clear talent pools
, each with transferable skills:

  • Real Estate Debt Funds:
    juniors involved in loan monitoring, covenant analysis, drawdowns, portfolio reporting or debt asset management.
  • CRE Lending / Credit Portfolio Teams (Banks):
    analysts working on real estate credit reviews, covenant testing, borrower reporting and quarterly monitoring.
  • Alternative Lenders / Development Finance:
    junior analysts working in property lending or development finance with exposure to project monitoring, MI review and borrower interaction.
  • Real Estate Investment / Valuation:
    analytical juniors from RE investment managers or valuation teams with strong asset understanding and a desire to move into real estate credit.

Ideal Candidate

  • 0–2 years' experience in finance, credit, real estate or lending.
  • Highly numerate, analytical and organised.
  • Strong Excel skills; comfortable handling financial information.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to prioritise multiple deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in dealing with internal stakeholders and borrowers.
