About The Role

Do you have passion, drive, and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge, developing skills, and helping individuals realise their potential? If you are dedicated to shaping the next generation of finance professionals, PETA want to hear from you.

Due to continued business growth, PETA are looking to expand our training team through the recruitment of a Finance Trainer within our Management and Digital Training Division. This role will support the delivery of our Finance Apprenticeships and commercial programmes, helping to develop the finance specialists of the future. The position is based at our conference centre in Cosham, with the option to work remotely when not delivering training.

This is advertised as a full-time role at 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, however we are open to considering part-time and flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.

Alongside delivery of courses, part of this role will be leading the digitalisation of our finance training provision. We are seeking someone who can modernise content, integrate digital platforms to develop blended learning resources, and help shape the future of how finance programmes are delivered at PETA.

Your New Role

As a Finance Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging training across Finance Apprenticeship Standards at Levels 2, 3 and 4, including embedded AAT qualifications. You will design, deliver, and enhance learning that is both industry-relevant and accessible to a wide range of learners. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering face-to-face and virtual training sessions aligned to apprenticeship standards and AAT requirements
  • Developing digital-first learning materials, resources, and assessments as part of PETA's digitalisation strategy
  • Creating structured lesson plans, schemes of work, and curriculum frameworks
  • Supporting learners with clear explanations, practical demonstrations, and timely feedback
  • Working collaboratively with employers to ensure training meets workplace needs
  • Monitoring learner progress and implementing effective interventions where required
  • Ensuring all delivery meets compliance and quality assurance standard

Could this be the ideal role for me?

To be successful as our newest Finance Trainer, you will need to be able to demonstrate expertise gained from hands on experience in an Accounts role. This combined with a background in training and an assessing / teaching qualification would make you our ideal candidate.

As you will be working with learners from 16 years plus, the ability to relate to and communicate well with a wide age range is crucial. To be considered for this role, you will also require:

  • A relevant Finance qualification such as AAT
  • Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy
