Since 1971, PSS has strived to be the UK's leading provider of remanufactured power steering, hydraulic, and mechanical components.

We are now looking to expand our team of highly skilled Production Operatives to support new and existing product lines. Our products include everything from power steering racks and boxes, to axles and differentials, right through to complete military vehicle hydraulic systems, as well as steering columns and pumps.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment and will possess a good eye for detail and the ability to identify solutions to problems.

We currently have a position available for an end-of-line test operative. Your main duties may include:

  • Hydraulic & mechanical testing of remanufactured power steering boxes, using specialist testing equipment.
  • Testing of other finished remanufactured products to ensure they meet customer/safety requirements.
  • Assisting with disassembly, cleaning, and re-assembly of remanufactured parts, as required.
  • Machine minding and operation.
  • Following work instructions to ensure the correct processes and procedures are followed, according to customer requirements.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised working environment.

Requirements:

  • Motivated individual with strong work ethic.
  • Previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks, as required.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Full in-house training will be provided for the successful candidate.

Hourly rate is dependent on experience. Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate.

This role is full time, 39 hours per week.
