Job Description

As our Domiciliary Care Manager, you'll take ownership of day-to-day operations, lead a dedicated care team, and uphold our outstanding reputation. You'll ensure our clients receive the highest standard of person-centered care while supporting staff to thrive and develop.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Service Setup & Development

  • Lead the setup and smooth running of new care packages and services.
  • Develop and implement effective care policies and processes.
  • Work closely with Senior Leaders to establish and grow the company's new sister service.

Staff Recruitment & Management:

  • Recruit, train, and retain compassionate, high-quality care professionals.
  • Deliver ongoing supervision, performance reviews, and staff support.
  • Build a positive and motivated team culture that aligns with company values.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with CQC standards and all relevant legislation.
  • Conduct regular audits, spot checks, and client reviews.
  • Implement continuous improvement plans based on feedback and outcomes.

Care Coordination & Client Support

  • Oversee care planning, ensuring all care packages are person-centered and regularly reviewed.
  • Complete client assessments, risk assessments, and service reviews
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, families, and external professionals.

Operational Management

  • Manage Schedules, ensuring effective cover and continuity of care.
  • Monitor service performance, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Oversee medication management and health & safety compliance.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, providing out-of-hours support when required.

Leadership & Representation

  • Act as the face of the company, representing our values with professionalism and warmth.
  • Promote a culture of openness, respect, and teamwork.
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional care and customer service.
  • Support marketing and community engagement initiatives to grow the business.

Strategic Development:

  • Contribute to business growth through innovative ideas and service improvements.
  • Work closely with senior management to meet business goals and deadlines.
  • Prepare for and support CQC inspections, maintaining "Outstanding" quality ratings.
Qualifications

You must be passionate about care, people, and progression. Confident in managing teams, motivated to achieve excellence, and excited by the opportunity to grow into a Registered Manager role.

Essential Skills & Qualities:

  • Previous experience in a domiciliary or community care management/supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach and ability to meet deadlines.
  • A caring and professional manner with a genuine desire to make a difference.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care Leadership (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
