Job Details

The Vice President of Data Experience leads the transformation of clinical, operational, and patient data into intuitive, actionable insights. This role ensures that data is transformed into visual platform changes creating insights for clients and operations. This role will be key to driving client retention with advanced tools for select business lines. By fostering data engagement across key products and services, the VP works with account management, operations & engineering teams. The position collaborates with client leadership, internal teams, and supports growth initiatives to align data experiences with regulatory transformation and strategic initiatives. A key objective is to develop solution capabilities through visualization, and user-centered design. Ultimately, VP enables a data-driven culture that supports innovation, equity, and continuous improvement throughout the organization and across customers.  

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic data experience across internal products and services including roadmap.  

  • Design and oversee development of data platforms, dashboards, and tools. 

  • Champion user-centered design principles to ensure business results are achieved.   

  • Establish governance frameworks that ensure data integrity, privacy, and ethical use across all data experience initiatives.  

  • Drive innovation by integrating emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics. 

  • Monitor and evaluate performance of data tools and platforms, using feedback and metrics to continuously improve user satisfaction and effectiveness.  

  • Promote data engagement through training, communication, and support initiatives that empower users to interpret data effectively.  

  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to ensure data solutions align with regulatory requirements, patient safety standards, and organizational goals.  

  • Serve as a thought leader in data visualization, translating complex data into compelling narratives that drive strategic decisions.  

  • Foster a culture of collaboration across departments to ensure data experience  initiatives are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with enterprise priorities.

Education

  • Master's degree in health informatics, Data Science, Information Systems, Public Health, or a related field; PhD or MBA. 

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years in data strategy, analytics, or informatics roles.  

  • Demonstrated success in leading enterprise-wide data initiatives within healthcare such as hospitals, ambulatory care settings, pharmacy, payers, or healthcare technology companies.  

  • Experience managing operations and or informatics teams driving adoption of data tools across care settings and across Electronic Health Record (EHR), Patient Accounting, Revenue Cycle, Coding & Audit Services. 

  • Track record of delivering measurable improvements through client retention.  

  • SDLC methodologies in product development.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR), regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, HITECH), and clinical workflows.  

  • Proven expertise in data visualization, user experience (UX) design, and data experience for EHR, RCM, Revenue Integrity, and Coding.  

  • Advanced knowledge of data platforms, analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik), and emerging technologies like AI/ML.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with an expectation to work an average of 40 hours per week and be available outside of normal business hours to meet customer expectations on an ad-hoc basis. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.

Travel

Travel may be required for special organization or department events, department team meetings, trade shows, conferences, and other client engagements.
