By combining operational knowledge of mooring equipment, anchor handling and industry failure modes with subsea engineering expertise, we create a company unmatched within the mooring niche. This approach mitigates risks in delivery, installation and operations across the lifecycle, reducing mooring lifecycle costs and safeguarding major operations that protect start-up schedules when mooring and mooring intervention are on the project or production critical path.

InterMoor are looking to source a Technical Sales Business Development Executive on a full time, permanent basis. Based at our facility in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, the Business Development Executive will lead and expand mooring system sales globally as part of a global BD effort, delivering the full technical sales cycle, including building strategic client relationships, and closing high value, technically complex deals whilst promoting Acteons brand name.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead technical expert in mooring solutions; chains, ropes, anchors, mooring line connectors
  • Present demos, proposals, and proof of concepts, to then translate customer needs into technical solutions.
  • Provide feedback to Head of BD and Senior Management on performance and opportunities
  • Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and forecasting in CRM systems.
  • Proactively identify pipeline growth potential.
  • Build multilevel relationships with shipowners, ports, yards, OEMs.
  • Navigate complex buying structures.
  • Support pre- and post-sale technical discussions; ensure solution implementation aligns with promise.
  • Work closely with customer service, engineering, operations, and supply teams to ensure end to end delivery of excellence.
  • Represent the company at marine industry events, trade fairs, and forums

Required

  • Bachelor's degree (Mechanical/Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related) or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in technical sales/business development in marine or industrial sectors.
  • Proven success selling mooring or related marine solutions
  • International experience or ability to operate in cross border markets is a plus.
  • Knowledge of mooring systems-hardware, ropes, hydrodynamics.
  • Strong capability in preparing technical proposals and conducting tender/RFP responses
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management with multi-level contacts.
  • Self-driven, strategic thinker with commercial acumen and results orientation.
  • Ability to manage own schedule, travel frequently, and work remotely
