in UK, we are looking for a

Motion Control Expert
(m/f/x)

Responsibilities:

  • Technical expert lead to the design and implementation of Motion Control algorithms supporting smart chassis development
  • Lead Motion Control system's architecture definition, and coordination strategy between propulsion and multi-functional chassis actuators
  • Lead feature development, attribute and behaviours definition and requirements settings
  • Develop interaction functions between motion control and Autonomous driving, including degradation strategies
  • Develop calibration strategy and calibrate newly developed algorithms
  • Coordinate vehicle activities as required, including calibration, testing and data logging with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Lead system validation and verification, including testing activities on vehicle, bench, SIL, HIL and other test properties
  • Develop requirements, architecture and interfaces with suppliers with documentation traceability
  • Ensure Functional Safety activities are performed according to ISO26262.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or related technical fields.
  • Work Experience:
    Over 10 years in algorithm development for vehicle motion related control systems. Experience in leadership roles at tier one suspension control suppliers is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    Vehicle dynamics; Control systems; Embedded programming; Automotive production development process.
  • Tools:
    Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow, C, or similar programming tools; GIT, Jira, or similar version control tools and issue tracking tools; Automotive Diagnostic, DTC's, service routines; System and / or software validation, including SIL, HIL; Automotive tools for testing, data logging, feature calibration and issue investigation (such as Vector CAN-based tools, ETAS INCA etc.); MS Office.
  • Others:
    Experience in driving company-level initiatives, such as building generic platforms and establishing common standards; Experience working with international teams, with global time differences is strongly preferred; Experience working cross functionally with other teams such as Systems is desired; Problem solving and teamwork skills; Customer oriented mentality.
