Capital is a well-established and versatile Principal Contractor specialising in the dynamic fields of commercial and retail construction.

We currently have an opening for a Site Manager to oversee the first phase of a demolition project in Northampton. This includes establishing a site set-up, overseeing investigatory works and initial stages of demolition.

Project Dates: Monday 10th November - Monday 5th January

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Minimum 5 years of Site Manager experience in the UK, inclusive of 2 years in shopfitting, focus on landlord enabling projects occurring in occupied spaces.

  • Background in construction and refurbishment works.

  • Proficiency in using Outlook, mobile reporting apps and software and ability to carry out weekly reporting.

  • Strong H&S understanding and control.

  • Strong presentation skills.

Responsibilities:

· Supervise and manage daily operations at the site

· Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

· Oversee and coordinate work activities of site staff

· Develop and implement strategies to improve site performance

· Monitor and maintain site safety standards

· Manage site budget and expenses

· Collaborate with other departments to achieve site goals

· Provide leadership and guidance to site employees

Requirements:

· Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role

· Strong leadership and communication skills

· Excellent organisational and time management abilities

· Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

· Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices

· Problem-solving and decision-making skills

· Ability to work well under pressure

Qualifications/Training:

· SMSTS

· First Aid

· Fire Marshal

· Asbestos Awareness (UKATA)

· Working at Height Awareness

· PASMA

Desirable:

· NVQ Level 6 Site Management Diploma

· IPAF

· Forklift Counterbalance
